About...

This thing is a big and old doodle that has developed into a kind of personal audiovisual diary where i keep and show some of the things i do.

In some way, this object is a container of my personal imaginarium that shows the parts of my life that i want through the images i make, my doodles and the sounds I think I compose.

Its just a little place where i show what i want.

My personal interests and works in this life revolve around culture, art expression and its educational approaches - more specifically, cultural education and training of young people.

I'm also a geek of sound and computers, and from time to time i compose music for advertisments, contemporary dance shows, videocreations, animation, etc.

I also love photography.

At present, i would love to work with a team on cultural/educational projects. This could mean: a creative studio or group, a promoter company, a theatre, an exhibition or short term project, a cultural associattion, etc. Send a proposal!

Mini CV:

Donovan McLean (Santa Cruz de Tenerife - Spain, 1982) holds a degree in Music “Professional Degree in Music (Guitar and Composition)” awarded in 2008 by the Professional Conservatory of Music, Tenerife, Spain, and a degree as "Teacher Specialist in Music Education" awared by the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain.

He also holds a diploma in Computer Systems and Telecommunication “Técnico Superior de Sistemas Informáticos y de Telecomunicaciones” from the Institute of Higher Education César Manrique awarded in 2005.

He is the founder of the cultural association Amarte whose purpose is the creation of multidisciplinary cultural activities and training of young people and has initiated and collaborated in various shows and cultural festivals, with particular responsibilty for sound tracks, electronic music and audio-visual presentations.

His work combines his classical education in Music with personal investigation in electronic synthesis. It focuses on musical composition for audio-visual media, visual arts exhibition, contemporary dance and theatre.
He holds a grant from the European Community and attends diverse courses and electronic workshops (Leonardo Da Vinci-Austria) and Music (SENECA -Barcelona). He currently lives and studies in Barcelona, Spain.
